Photo Review: Windows 7 Media Center
I’m completely surprised and in awe of how wonderful Windows 7 Media Center works. It handles all my podcast subscriptions, live HD tv over an ATSC antenna, live analog tv from Cox Cable, downloaded content, streaming netflix, hulu, etc.
Let’s get to the photos. All the pictures are from my iphone, so their not too great and don’t quite do it justice. It’s a full 1080P beautiful experience on my Sony Bravia KDL-52W4100 @ 120hz. The first photo is the opening screen.

Next let’s see the main menu.

The guide, customized to the exact channels I have coming from both tuners.

Once you’ve selected a program you can pull a smaller guide over the video, or the big guide.

You can even check the weather, without leaving your show.

One really cool feature is the ability to browse sports scores, and see a line up of upcoming sports games. Say you wanted to catch the Duke v Virginia game, you’d just find it in the sports schedule and it tells you what station it’s on and when. More than that you can click on the station and go there, set up a recording, etc.

and don’t forget netflix and podcasts:
